The Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar, H.E. Mrs. Suphatra Srimaitreephithak, who is leaving Myanmar on completion of her duties, at the parlour of the Office of the Chairman of State Administration Council on 9 March. During the call, they exchanged the following views:
- Views on diplomatic relations and friendship between Myanmar and Thailand.
- Progress of trade between the two countries in bilateral trade thanks to the adaption of Baht/Kyat direct payment system and efforts to promote investments.
- Assistance offered by Thailand to provide oxygen to Myanmar during the second wave of COVID-19 in Myanmar and measures taken for providing humanitarian assistance.
After the discussions, the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister and the ambassador exchanged gifts.
Together with the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister, Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo of the SAC and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin, the Thai ambassador and officials from the Embassy of Thailand to Myanmar also presented the call.
